New blog post finally! The point of this outfit was to show that you can get a cute outfit with just using basics.I only used a tank top (a bright color adds more fun to the outfit), then I used basic jeans, a poppy necklace and black wedges to complete the outfit.

Chic Style
I love this outfit!!!! It is just so simple (just a houndtooth-patterned coat with a black skirt, top and shoes). One of the many reasons I love this outfit is that you don't need jewlery since the coat has a very busy print. You can literally walk out the door ready to go in like 2 minutes. Isn't that nice? This is a great outfit for rainy or semi-cold days so you can just keep the jacket on pretty much all day. The jacket is from Walmart. Money saver!!!

Preppy Blue
I'm back! I feel like I haven't posted in forever. School is always a priority and I just needed to take care of some homework and tests.
Speaking of school... this preppy look is one of my favorites. A simple blue sweater over a white peter pan collar shirt (a popular trend right now). I paired it with simple black jeans, suede black flats, and a statement necklace. I love the swirl of the silver rhinestones and black and uniqueness of the necklace. Such a great staple piece! You can get the sweater and collared shirt just about anywhere. The necklace is from Dressing Your Truth store.

Green Envy
I love pops of color especially when I tend to wear more black during the winter. Green gives this outfit that "wicked" look. Get the joke? ;)
I like the simplicity of this outfit but it doesn't have to look blah. That's what jewely is for :)! The simpler the outfit, the more jewelry you can wear to spice it up. Both the necklace and bracelet are from Dressing Your Truth. Plus the little bit of sparkle on my cardigain adds more flare. Something that makes this outfit way different is the two-tone skinny jeans from Target. Both the blue and black compliment the rest of the outfit and creates dimension.
The rest of my outfit is hand-me-downs! One of the reasons why I love having older sisters :) and it's a great way to save mula (money). Thanks sissys! But really you can find similar pieces anywhere.

Sunday in the Park
One of the most popular trends for teens is the crop top. So how do you make that trend modest? Well what I did is just wear a high-waisted pencil skirt from The Sister Missionary Mall with the blue and black crop top sweater from Forever 21 and it completely covers the area that would have been exposed. Easy fix! With a now modest hemline I made this a new style and modest. It still looks youthful but also elegant and refined.

Flannel Love
I love the flannel plaid shirt that I wore from Forever 21. It's comfortable, cute, and just warm enough for a cute mid-January outfit. My cute rhinestone necklace along with "beautiful" necklace both from Claire's give the whole look a little bit of sparkle and flare.
